This is a no-brainer. For me anyways.
1. Money
I don't have to pay the monthly instalments. My cold bitch of a wife is taking care of the $350/month for nine years. But I had to fork up the $5,000 down-payment tho. Okay, quite a warm-hearted favour from a chilly witch knowing I am retired.
2. The Drive
It is a riot to drive. And easy to park too. Acceleration understandably is not overwhelming (like the CRZ, even more breathtaking with the "power" button) but step hard on the Axia's accelerator and it surprisingly can take off like a bitch keen to dump your sorry ass.
Other than the drive it was easy to park too. With the wide CRZ it was not so (and a painful to get in and out, it was mighty low and narrow. Not because I am too ancient to do the Karma Sutra position but still a pain.
2. The Perks
The darling sor por (Cantonese for stupid madam) advised me to acquire the "X" version. Pay a bit more for a couple of extras. She was advised by her cousin sister who sold it to us. She thre in a ;ot of goodies herself. Like bidding for the same number as my bitch's Civic ($500) and tinting ($480).
3. The Attitude
With the 2013 CRZ, I was very, I mean very conscious of what I was driving. With this tiny thing, nobody even glanced at me. Wonderful.
4. Day to Day
Now, when was the last time I pumped RON95? The CRZ may be a "hybrid" but it half guzzles that RON95 like water.
5. The Loss
The CRZ was bought for $60,000 and sold for $41,500. I got back $23,800 from Public Bank for early settlement on a 8-year loan of $25,000. Monthly payment was $238.
Now, with this brand new red Axia X, delivered on November 4, 2019 ... nothing to pay any month (see above).
6. The Air Con
When you move the lever to let the outside air into the car, there is a mighty blast. What the ... quite a shock but enjoying it nevertheless.
7. What is new to me
7.1 The car jack and rim nut spanner are stored under the front passenger seat.
8. What I miss
8.1 My X version has no CD player, but with six channels from BFM to Traxx to Hits FM to Light FM to 94.5 I am as happy as a ???
9. The +++
(Coming soon ...)
(psst ... alrighty, enough for now ... will add n edit later as I discover stuff from my AX journey)
