Stir-fried Flowerhorn, huh?
Humans consuming cichlids is nothing new. Fact is, some of the most consumed fish in the world, such as Tilapia, are cichlids. It's just that you don't often (if ever) see people eating expensive ornamental cichlids

The internet really is a strange place where people will try anything!
Last week, a man posted photos and a video of him preparing and frying a fish. Sounds normal, right? Well, what’s different about this fish is that it’s normally kept as a pet and reportedly costs RM2,845!
The fish is known as a luohan or a flowerhorn fish and is commonly bought to be kept in aquariums.
Known for its signature forehead bump and vividly beautiful colours, flowerhorns fetch a hefty price on the market, which was why people thought it was ridiculous when this man decided to deep fry it!

The video the man uploaded showed him chopping the hump off of the flowerhorn and showing what it looked like from the inside.
